John Grant Jr. and the Fountain of Youth

2007

A year of dominance for the Canadian as he is named MVP of the MLL, Mann Cup, and NLL. Back in the MLL John Grant Jr. makes his presence felt once again, setting the single season points record with 71 points. People everywhere go crazy as the first iPhone is released, truly beginning the smartphone era.

2008

Denver Outlaws President Matt Bocklet is drafted into the MLL by Washington, Paul Rabil headlines the MLL draft going first overall. John Grant Jr. leads the MLL in scoring and wins the league MVP for the second straight season. He wins his first MLL title with the Rochester Rattlers, defeating the Denver Outlaws. Barack Obama is elected President of the United States, making it three different U.S. presidents during Junior’s professional career. 

2009

John Grant Jr. wins back-to-back MLL titles, this time with the Toronto Nationals who relocated from the Rochester area in the offseason.

2011

John Grant Jr. is traded to the Long Island Lizards for a second round draft pick in the 2012 Collegiate Draft. The Nationals, now located in Hamilton (formerly Rochester), select Jake Bernhardt with the pick. Adele releases “Rolling in the Deep” topping the Billboard charts. 

2012

John Grant Jr. wins his third MLL title and first with the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

2013

John Grant Jr. wins his fourth MLL Championship and second straight with the Chesapeake Bayhawks. He is also named Championship weekend MVP. Later that year, the Denver Outlaws trade a second round pick in the 2014 Collegiate Draft along with Brendan Mundorf to Chesapeake for John Grant Jr. and Michael Simon. Children’s movies world wide will never be the same as everyone learns to just “Let it Go” when Frozen is released.
