WPLL announces partnership with Nike Lacrosse

Today, the Women’s Professional Lacrosse League announced Nike Lacrosse as the official athletic apparel partner and athletic footwear partner of the WPLL.

Nike is now a “Champion” sponsor of the league, and is the first partnership of its kind in professional women’s lacrosse.

“The WPLL is thrilled to partner with Nike Lacrosse. Our goal since starting this league three years ago was to find partners who truly believe in supporting and empowering female athletes,” CEO Michele DeJuliis said in a statement released by the WPLL.

“This multi-year agreement with Nike truly illustrates their commitment to female athletes. Our goal is to align our athletes and league with world-class brands and this agreement delivers on that promise. We couldn’t ask for a better ‘Champion’ partner that cares about female athletes and their personal growth.”

As part of the agreement, all four teams will be outfitted in Nike apparel and footwear. Fans will also be able to purchase the same Nike team apparel that coaches and players will be wearing on the sidelines and at league events.

“Nike Lacrosse is excited and proud to begin this partnership with the WPLL” said Sales Director for Nike Lacrosse, Mike Fisher. “Girls lacrosse is the fastest growing segment in the sport and connecting to female athletes and women in sport is our priority. The WPLL athletes represent the highest level of the women’s game, and we feel this a perfect match with the Nike brand”.

Nike is the first brand to be announced as a “Champion” sponsor for the WPLL.
