Fans of the MLL now have more than one way to stream their favorite team’s games as the league recently announced partnerships with ESPN and Stadium. The best news about the MLL’s announcement: every game will be available for free.
Earlier this year the MLL reacquired its broadcast rights with plans to develop a new strategy on how to best showcase the league’s 2019 season. The league first announced that it would renew its partnership with ESPN and stream a Game of the Week throughout the season on the network’s streaming service ESPN+. Furthermore, the All-Star Game on July 27 and Championship game on September 29 will air on ESPN2.
Following the ESPN deal, the MLL announced it would partner with the emerging streaming service Stadium to stream 12 games throughout the 2019 season, including the league’s opening game between the Denver Outlaws and New York Lizards on May 31.
Every game on Stadium is free and their wide distribution platform includes The Roku Channel, Pluto TV, Twitch, Samsung TV Plus, XUMO, Sling TV, PlaystationVue, fuboTV, Stadium over-the-air channels across the country, and WatchStadium.com. In addition to the 12 games, Stadium will also produce weekly studio shows as part of the network’s programming.
Furthermore, the MLL will continue its partnerships with Lax Sports Network and every game, with the exception of exclusive broadcasts on Stadium, will appear on the league’s website.
