On this episode of the Pro Lacrosse Talk Podcast, Hutton Jackson is joined by five-time pro lacrosse champion Joe Walters to discuss his 16-year pro lacrosse career that featured seven pro lacrosse championship appearances, including two MLL championships with the Rochester Rattlers/Toronto Nationals and three NLL championships with the Rochester Knighthawks. He discusses learning lacrosse while growing up in the Rochester area, what led to him attending the University of Maryland and getting to play for his hometown teams: Rochester Rattlers and Rochester Knighthawks. He also discusses his struggles with adapting to box lacrosse in the NLL, playing for MLL coaches BJ O’Hara, Dave Huntley and Dave Cottle and the decision to join the PLL in 2019. He also discusses playing for the Redwoods for his final three seasons, finishing second all-time in career assists in pro lacrosse history and losing the Whipsnakes in overtime in the 2019 PLL Championship.

Additionally, Hutton Jackson and Brian Andrews discuss the retirements of Drew Adams, the PLL touring schedule, recent PLL signings and potential PLL goalie carousel that could occur during the season.

Pro Lacrosse Talk is the first and only podcast covering all three professional lacrosse leagues (NLL, PLL, Athletes Unlimited). Each week throughout the season, we’ll recap the games, provide analysis on the teams and feature exclusive postgame and off-the-field interviews with professional lacrosse players, coaches and executives.
