Joe Nardella dominates the stripe during the PLL Championship Series
What Joe Nardella was able to do at the faceoff stripe for the Whipsnakes in 2020 was nothing short of historic. The Whips faceoff specialist went 72% throughout the entire PLL Championship Series and was a big reason why the team remained undefeated en route to a second straight PLL title. In addition to his ridiculous faceoff percentage, Nards recorded six points and a league-high 65 groundballs, nearly double the next highest groundball total of 34 belonging to Connor Farrell.
Zed Williams wins MVP and delivers emotional post-game speech (August 9, 2020)
Very few moments were as iconic as Zed Williams clutching his lacrosse stick with tears in his eyes after being named MVP of the PLL Championship Series. The first-year Whipsnake scored six goals to lead the Whips’ comeback effort in the PLL Championship. Following the team’s 12-6 victory, Williams accepted the MVP award and looked up to the sky to dedicate the award to his late father.
