PLL Week 9: Cannons vs. Redwoods

Location: Denver, CO
Date: Saturday, August 12 at 9:30pm ET

We’re getting Cannons vs. Redwoods in Denver again this year (and hopefully those awesome Champion throwback uniforms will be back as well.) Last year’s meeting treated fans to one of the most exciting plays of the season—a series of point-blank saves by Nick Marrocco that led to a full-field pass from Asher Nolting to Lyle Thompson, who buried a goal with just six seconds left in the first half. While the Redwoods finished the game on top, we were treated too some great performances from two of the best players in the game in Rob Pannell and Lyle Thompson.

This game will also serve as a revenge game of sorts for Finn Sullivan, Kyle Hartzell, Matt Kavanagh, Matt Rahill and Ryan Tierney, who all swapped teams this offseason. We expect some fireworks under the lights in the Mile High City once again.
