The speculation has finally ended with the official announcement that Rob Pannell will be joining the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) for the 2020 season.
Rob Pannell, who became a free agent after his Major League Lacrosse (MLL) contract ended on March 1, announced that he would play in the PLL in a video on the PLL’s social media channels.
This season will also be the first time Rob Pannell’s seven-year professional career that he will be playing on a team other than the New York Lizards. The perennial MLL all-star recorded 430 points over his seven seasons in the MLL and earned MVP honors in 2018.
The newest PLL team, Waterdogs LC, currently holds the first pick in the PLL entry draft and is favored to draft the all-star attackman. While who Coach Andy Copelan is looking to draft will ultimately be made clearer once the other available players in the entry draft are officially announced, the speculation that Rob Pannell will play for the Waterdogs in 2020 has already begun.
