Recapping the top MLL draft picks from the past 20 years

Dylan Molloy was selected #1 overall by the Florida Launch and currently plays for his hometown team the New York Lizards.

2016

Myles Jones – Atlanta Blaze

Myles Jones made a name for himself at Duke as a large and athletic dodging threat that could have played tight end in the NFL. After scoring 70 points in his senior campaign, Jones was drafted first overall. Jones scored 111 points in three MLL seasons with the Atlanta Blaze and Chesapeake Bayhawks before leaving to join the PLL. He will suit up for Redwoods LC next season.

Dylan Donahue – Charlotte Hounds

Dylan Donahue scored 227 points at Syracuse university before going to Charlotte. Once in MLL, Donahue scored 33 points over 21 games in four seasons. Donahue is now the associate head coach for the Onondaga Community College Lazers.

2017

Dylan Molloy – Florida Launch

Dylan Molly was selected first overall after a highly successful career at Brown. Molloy won the 2016 Tewaaraton trophy before being selected first overall. Molloy has seen good success on the professional level, recording 86 points in two seasons for Florida, before playing for the New York Lizards last season.

Sergio Perkovic – Boston Cannons

After a senior season in which he scored 23 goals, the Motor City Hitman was selected second overall by the Boston Cannons. Perkovic scored 23 points in two seasons for the Cannons, after which he joined the PLL where he currently plays midfield for Redwoods LC.




David Wildman is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago and their Sports Communication Program. David played four years of lacrosse at Illinois State and was the president of the club team while there. David is entering his second year coaching at Deerfield High School and has also coached youth with the Deerfield Youth Lacrosse Club and Bloomington Warriors Lacrosse Club. He has previously served as Editor-in-Chief at the Loop Sports, Senior Columnist at On Tap Sports Net where he wrote about the Bulls, White Sox and Bears, and a contributor at FutureSox.
