Command oust the Fire in season opener

Command vs Fire

The Command kicked off the second season of WPLL play in Foxborough, MA with a victory over the Fire on Saturday. Despite scoring the first 2 goals of the game, the Fire were unable to keep up with the Command offense, as this would be their only lead of the day. Veteran Kristin Igoe (3G, 1A) led the Command in points in the return to her home state.

Katie O’Donnell and Taylor Hensh both added two goals and Kara Mupo contributed a goal via a top corner rip to solidify the victory. The Command will look to remain undefeated when they play the Pride at 7:30PM ET on June 15 in Richmond, VA.

The Fire’s Kelyn Freedman led her team in point with three goals. The Fire will have to wait a little longer to get into the win column when they head to Baltimore on June 23 to take on the Brave.

Command 11, Fire 8
