CJ Costabile and Jarrod Neumann sign with Cannons LC
Bomb Squad, meet Boom Squad. The duo of CJ Costabile and Jarrod Neumann makes too much sense from a marketing standpoint, but also fills a desperate need for Cannons LC. Cannons finished the 2022 season with the league’s worst defense, allowing 14 goals per game. That’s almost 10% more than the next team on the list.
Cannons also finished the 2022 season last in two-point goals and two-point shot percentage, so Neumann and Costabile’s threat from range fills yet another hole. To top it off, Cannons LC currently only has two poles under contract on their roster in Jake Pulver and Jack Kielty. Even if Coach Holman re-signs Brodie Merrill, they’ll need to add a few more defenders to retool this defensive unit. Starting with a pair of all-stars would be putting your best foot forward.
