Denver Outlaws outlast New York Lizards in MLL season opener

New York Lizards at Denver Outlaws

Denver used a seven-point third quarter to propel them to victory in the first game of the 2019 MLL season. Outlaws goalie, Dillion Ward, made 19 saves in the contest, stifling the Lizards’ new-look offense that includes two former Tewaaraton Award winners, Rob Pannell and Dylan Molloy, as well as numerous MLL all-stars.

No Lizard recorded more than two points on the evening. Rookie Brendan Kavanagh led the Outlaws with four points (2G, 2A), including the game-winning goal in his debut against New York. Denver will look to the Hofstra grad to help replace the offensive output lost to player movement to the new PLL.
